Abbey Road Day 2: Oxford to Amesbury

Similar day to yesterday, but without the city riding we had in London. The weather prediction was rain at some point but that didn’t happen. Other than some wind and mostly cooler temperatures, it was the same as yesterday.

The highlights of the day were seeing homes with thatched roofs (not sure how that works, but they look interesting), a steep climb with a sheep pasture at the top, a couple of diversions that required navigating on the fly. That worked out well given the number of small roads with little traffic.

Tomorrow we continue on to Bristol on a route with about the same distance as the first two days. Maybe the forecasted rain will happen. We shall see.

Some nice country homes along the way
One of the many houses here that have a thatched roof
I did not see and foxes nor any hounds
I tried to make friends with these sheep

Tank crossing. There were, in fact, no tanks crossing here
